I believe that this verse is really speaking about our salvation. Additionally, the Bible also says, “a man who finds a wife, finds a good thing.” So I truly believe in my heart that your wife is a gift from God. I consider my wife as a gift from God. What do you do with a special gift? You honor, value and protect it, you also want to share the value of that gift with others. It is something you can not keep silent about. Even though my wife and I are not perfect nor have a perfect marriage, our everyday relationship is what helps me to draw near to God. Not just through her daily life’s example, her love for our children, her zealousness for God’s Word, but also in her moments of weakness, and even in the toughest moment when she exposes my sins and imperfections as well. So with those few examples it leads me to say, that she is truly a gift from God that reminds me of God’s grace, forgiveness, and love each and everyday.
It is important to receive your spouse as God’s perfect gift for you.
“Just as Eve was a gift to Adam, your spouse is a gift from God to you. Embrace her, protect her, love her and value her.” PJ
